This monthly advanced Cannabis grow workshop is designed for the mid-level to experienced grower who is looking to further their skills as an outdoor grower. The grow workshop is a powerful step for those who may be looking to become a grow professional or starting a larger scale outdoor grow.
The grow workshops take place on the last Saturday of every month alternating between Johannesburg and Cape Town. This is a unique opportunity to learn from one of South Africa’s stalwarts of the cannabis industry who has been growing cannabis for over 25 years.
It is also a powerful opportunity to meet and network with other growers facilitating peer to peer learning and an opportunity to grow your network. These workshops are brought to you in partnership with Tamatie - "Growing Master Growers"

About Natie
Natie’s 18 years of experience in the green industry as a beautifier, project manager and producer has brought him to the place where horticulture and agriculture meet. He has extensive knowledge and experience of farming and growing cannabis and is a driving force in the industry. His participation in cannabis-related organisations include founding member and treasurer of the Cannabis Industrial Development Cooperative of the Western Cape (CIDC WC) as well as founding member and chairman of the Association of Compassion (AOC).
Natie’s ability to assemble and manage a professional team has led to the successful completion of many large and smaller scale projects across the Western Cape. Through his mentorship program, Natie unlocks the potential of previously excluded people, bringing them into the mainstream economy.

CANNABIS FUNDAMENTALS BUNDLE COURSE- R2900
(Cannabis 101 + Cannabis Industry 101)
If you are interested in being a part of one of the most meaningful and fastest growing industries on the planet, you need to learn the fundamentals of cannabis and how the industry works.
Our Cannabis Fundamentals 101 bundle package is a hybrid of online e-learning and online class contact time through Zoom. Students get to sign up to our online Cannabis 101 course as well as attend our Cannabis Industry 101 online evening classes, once a week for 4 weeks. This blended learning experience offers students the opportunity to ask questions, interact and network. Class sizes are limited to 20 students to ensure personalised attention.
The Cannabis 101 online course covers general information about Cannabis, the basic science of “why” cannabis works with our own endocannabinoid system, differences between CBD and THC, the law and types of products that are available.
Course duration of the self learning course is approximately 20 hours depending on your pre-existing knowledge plus 8 hours of Zoom classes.

This class will teach you the ins and outs of the cannabis industry, its structure, the different industry segments and the strengths / weaknesses / threats and opportunities of the African cannabis industry.
Instructor: Lourie Campher - 9th Wave
Lourie is a co-founder of 9th Wave, a company specialising in recruitment & procurement for the African medicinal cannabis & hemp industry. He has over 10 years experience in advertising and marketing and is trying desperately to perfect his golf swing.
Cannabis as a Lifestyle
This class explores the reasons why people use cannabis, responsible cannabis use and cannabis products. We unpack different delivery methods -inhalation, ingestion, topicals & suppositories and explore edibles, beverages and the type of extracts used in each product.
Instructor: Kelly McQue - Author of 'At Home with Cannabis'
In 2012 Kelly's life changed forever when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Refusing the medical options of surgery, radiation or chemotherapy, she instead taught herself how to make and use cannabis oil to heal herself. Within 8 months of starting the cannabis treatment the cancer was completely gone and Kelly has been healthier and stronger ever since.
An Introduction to Growing
In this class you will gain an understanding of the botany of the cannabis plant and we take you through the growing process from seed to bud. We talk genetics, indoor versus outdoor, pest management and unpack the tools needed to grow.
Instructor: Dean van Schalkwyk - Marijuana SA
Dean is the Director of Marijuana SA, one of South Africa's premier grow stores. He has been growing for over 10 years and is a subject matter expert in cannabis growing with deep knowledge on indoor home growing. He also hosts a successful show on their Youtube channel with his hombre Andrew Forte.
The Legal Landscape
This class unpacks the ever changing South Africa's cannabis legal landscape and explores the differences between hemp, recreational, medicinal cannabis regulation.
Instructor: Brett Pollack - Legálese
Brett is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa who specialises in the South African cannabis industry.
Having previously served a term as a judicial clerk of the Constitutional Court, he also has a passion for and experience in human rights and constitutional law.
Extraction
The cannabis extraction industry has exploded over the last few years and this class will take you through all the different extraction methods, techniques and the results gained from each method.
Instructor: Storm Kenmuir - House of Extractions
Storm is the founder of House of Extractions which is a boutique extraction company. He is a cannabis enthusiast with deep knowledge on extraction techniques and methods.
When not extracting he can be found playing guitar on sandy beaches.
